3 ways to enjoy the holidays

Updated: Apr 19, 2020

Every year, I like to write a short piece that will help you get through the holiday season guilt-free, full of energy and without breaking the bank!

1. Spend your time wisely! This is actually a HUGE reason why people feel stressed out and begin to feel anxious BEFORE the holiday season even begins and then of course, after it’s all said and done. It can be very exciting to have a bunch of parties and

dinners to attend, but it can also become exhausting for some people. If you are one of those people, be sure to schedule yourself some “recharge” time before you head back to work or school, so that you feel like you accomplished something for yourself over the winter break!

2. Stay active. We all know how much we can indulge during the holidays – and that’s okay! Balance is key. So, remember your daily 30 minutes of exercise and you’ll feel more energetic, awake and feel less guilt overall, during your holiday festivities.

3. Plan. Reflect. Buy. Reflect on your gift purchases, BEFORE you buy. How will receiving this gift change THEIR life? How will giving this gift change YOUR life? It may sound harsh, but the gift of giving does not need to be expensive or lavish (how many times have we heard this before, right? and how many times do we follow it?). When the New Year starts, we all hear about some sort of financial stress from our friends and family. The truth is, that it can be difficult financially, if you haven’t planned your TRUE BUDGET out ahead of time. Plan. Reflect. Buy.

Happy Holidays!
